This past weekend, we had another tasting session. This time, my neighbor Bud joined Rick and me. One of our selections was a Dortmunder Gold from Great Lakes Brewing Company that was left from a sampler pack that I brought back from a recent trip to Cleveland.
Dortmunder Gold has a medium, golden (of course) appearance. It has a faint, citrus aroma. It's crisp and smoot, but has a bit of a "peel" aftertaste in the back of the throat. Bud said that it's as "smooth as Lake Erie on a calm day." Good one!
There's a nice frothy head on this one that sticks around for awhile.
This one is 5.8% ABV and clocks in at just 30 on the IBU scale.
Another great brew from the North Coast of America!
Cheers
