Whale's Tale Pale Ale from Cisco Brewers

By Rick

My buddy Don gave me a great retirement present:  a membership in a “Beer of the Month Club”!  (It’s the gift that keeps on giving!)  What a fantastic way to try different microbrews from different parts of the country!

My first shipment arrived and it was only right that I share it w/ Don!  We eagerly tried  Cisco Brewers’ “Whale’s Tale Pale Ale”.   (Say that beer name as fast as you can 5x!)  Check out this Nantucket Island success story @ www.ciscobrewers.com.  Whale’s Tale Pale Ale is touted as Cisco Brewers’ flagship beer.  Its name ( and label) pay tribute to Nantucket’s whaling industry.

Both Don & I considered it worthy of its flagship title.  It pours like a classic IPA: a golden-brown color with a nice frothy head.  That sweet smell of hops is released immediately!  The classic IPA taste continues into the mouth: nice effervescence and finish!  This 5.6%ABV brew would pair nicely with a wide variety of foods- and it’s certainly tasty enough to enjoy by itself!

Check into a Beer of the Month Club- and check out Whale’s Tale Pale Ale too!  (Did you try to say it 5x?!)

Cheers!
