Merry Monks' Ale from Weyerbacher Brewing Company

By Rick

Weyerbacher Brewing Company did it again: they've produced yet another delicious BIG BEER (9.3% ABV): Merry Monks' Ale.

This Easton, PA brewery sure turns out some great brews! (Their BIG BEERS variety case is one of my favorites; I always have one available for consumption during the Holiday Season.) These BIG BEERS pair up quite nicely with our big appetites during this time of year!

Merry Monks' Ale won't disappoint- especially if you are a fan of Belgian-style Abby Tripel Ale. It pours out a beautiful golden-brown color with a thick collar of white foam on top. I quickly detected its sweet aroma that enticed me to taste it ever so quickly!

Although it's somewhat effervescent in the mouth, it's also soooo smooth when drinking! It's bottle-conditioned; Weyerbacher Brewing Co. recommends putting a few of these away and letting them age. (But if you're like me- that's hard to do because Merry Monks' Ale so good! Whether you're pairing it with your favorite Holiday recipes- or just enjoying this great brew by itself- you will definitely enjoy your happy holidays!

So, sing with me: "We wish you a Merry Christmas... and some Merry Monks' Ale!"

Cheers!
