Deep South Pale Ale from Lazy Magnolia

By Rick

Back in November, Don & I mixed some business with pleasure: we helped put Christmas decorations outside of his parents’ house and helped ourselves to some beer samplings!

We shared a bottle of Deep South Pale Ale- produced by the Lazy Magnolia Brewing Company in Kiln, Mississippi.  Check out their website to learn more about the first brewery in Mississippi!

Deep South Pale Ale (5.3% ABV) pours clear and golden with a proper head.  I picked up subtle hints of hops and malt.  Interesting!  It’s crisp and effervescent- with more of a malty-rather than hoppy- finish.  Don & I agreed that this brew would pair well with salty snacks, but we chose to pair ours with putting up Christmas lights.  (Now- if they would all work!)

Cheers!
