Another selection from my recent Leinenkugel's variety pack was their Classic Amber. According to the Leinie website, Classic Amber is 4.9% ABV and just 21 on the bitterness scale.
Classic Amber pours to a nice amber color ... duh! It has a faint malty, caramel aroma. Good frothy, thick head and decent lacing on the glass.
There's an initial kick from the hops and then it settles in to that "classic amber" taste that you would expect.
This is a decent drinking beer. I'd call it a good meal-drinking-beer. It's not going to compete with your food.
