Red Lager from Leinenkugel Brewing

By Don

We were hosting our annual Browns/Steelers party and I went out to pick up a variety pack.  I wanted something with a good fall feel to it and spotted a Leinenkugel's variety pack.

One of the 4 in the pack was Leinie's Red Lager.  Red Lager is a Vienna-Style Lager.  It's brewed with Three Pale, Carapils and Caramel malts and Cluster and Mt. Hood hops.

It pours to a nice reddish, amber color.  Nice frothy head.  The caramel aroma is noticeable.

It's an easy drinking brew.   According to the Leinie website, it's just 4.9% ABV and 20 on the IBU scale.

Cheers!
