Red Tail Ale from Mendocino Brewing Company

The legend continues.

Mendocino Brewing Company was the 1^st Post-Prohibition brewpub in California- the 2^nd in the USA- commencing in 1983. Check out their interesting website ( www.mendobrew.com)   for more info.

Red Tail Ale is their flagship brew.  It pours a hearty reddish-brown color with a nice frothy head.  The key word with this beer is balance.  There’s a nice balance of malt and hops throughout its aroma, mouthfeel and finish.

Because of this this classic balance- I wouldn’t be afraid to pair this 6.1% ABV brew with any type of food- or simply by itself.
