Howl Winter Seasonal from Magic Hat Brewing Co.

My Winter tour continues with another trip up to Vermont and another interesting offering from the fine folks at Magic Hat Brewing Company.

"Howl" is Magic Hat's Winter Seasonal.  This one is billed as a "Black As Night Winter Lager."  It pours as black as night.  It looks more like a porter or stout.

This one has hints of caramel and chocolate.  It's 4.6% ABV.

The mouthfeel is more carbonated than smooth.  I consider this a sort of "hybrid" beer.  As night ebbs into day, Howl is like a Lager ebbing into a Porter.
