Baseball and beer: long-time buddies! Brooklyn Brewery named this as beer as a tribute to the 1955 World Champion Brooklyn Dodgers.
I "made friends" with Brooklyn's Pennant Ale '55 some years ago. I consider it to be one of those "gateway beers" that introduced me to the wonderful world of "the bitters"! (I recommend that you share this brew with your buddies in the same way!)
Pennant Ale pours a rich golden-brown with a proper head. This ale's aroma is more on the "malty side"- as is its taste. GREAT mouthfeel with a crisp finish! This beer will pair well with most any foods, but it can stand alone as well. And at 5% ABV- you can responsibly enjoy a few- especially at the ballpark!
Cheers!
NOTE: This beer is part of of Brooklyn's "Party Mix." See our reviews of East India Pale Ale, Brooklyn Brown Ale & Brooklyn Lager.
